  6. 6

    Your own farm or packhouse

A compliance review against each subpart of the rule, with a written action list.

The Regulations and Standards We Teach Against

  • USThe Produce Safety Rule (21 CFR Part 112), including the agricultural water requirements, and FSMA Preventive Controls (21 CFR Part 117) for packhouses that fall under it.
  • InternationalCodex General Principles of Food Hygiene (CXC 1-1969) and the Codex Code of Hygienic Practice for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables.
  • EURegulation (EC) 852/2004 Annex I on primary production, the closest EU equivalent, and Regulation (EC) 2073/2005 for sprouted seeds.
  • UKRetained Regulation 852/2004 Annex I and the Food Safety and Hygiene (England) Regulations 2013 and equivalents.
  • CanadaThe Safe Food for Canadians Regulations, which cover fresh fruit and vegetable growers and packers through licensing and the preventive control plan.
  • Australia and New ZealandThe FSANZ Food Standards Code, Chapter 4 primary production standards, including 4.2.7 berries, 4.2.8 leafy vegetables and 4.2.9 melons.
  • GFSI schemesThe GFSI primary production scope, including GLOBALG.A.P. and PrimusGFS, and how each audits the same controls.

How We Tailor It to You

We start with what you grow, how you irrigate and how you pack. Every session checks one part of the rule against your own fields and packhouse, so you finish with records and procedures that fit your operation.
